6 Months On At TOGETHER
I joined TOGETHER in November. Six months on, the thing I keep coming back to is this: a brand isn’t built in isolation.
Elliott and Declan founded TOGETHER on a clear idea of what people need when they come together. Working alongside them both has been a real joy. I came in to build the brand, working closely with Elliott to land on what TOGETHER stands for. Then watching it come to life, in the website, the visuals, the feel of the place, it’s been amazing.
Yesterday afternoon I ran the first session with the team. Not to present the brand at them, but to start working it into the everyday, together.
A brand strategy can feel “fluffy.” Vision, mission, belief, a manifesto, lovely words about how people should feel. But brand is powerful, and it’s commercial. Done well, it galvanises people around a purpose, a better outcome. Those words only matter once they’re made real.
And making them real is the work. It can’t happen at a distance, or in a strategy deck. It happens with the people doing it every day, the ones closest to everyone who walks through our doors, who make belonging real in the small moments no slide can capture.
Today was the start of that. Co-creating it with the team. And honestly, that’s the most exciting part of the job.
We’re right at the beginning, and there’s so much still to make real.
